At Capital City Church, we like to say that baptism is the "outward expression of an inward change." The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Christ. Baptism allows a believer to communicate to the world their heart-felt commitment to Christ.
THRIVE GROUPS
Why join a Thrive Group? Thrive groups will help you Thrive in your daily Christian walk. They provide community with other believers and include lots of meaningful discussions on biblical studies, Christian book and video studies and other topics important to Christians. Group members share life with one another, encourage one another, and are there for each other when life gets messy.
SERVE
Most of us want to make a difference; we want to leave our fingerprint on the world. God has gifted each of us with a particular set of skills to do just that – through the local church. As a follower of Jesus, one of the most powerful lessons you can put into action is serving in the church. Jesus himself said that he did not come to be served but to serve others.
